St. Vincent's Cardiac Rehab The program is provided three days a week with multiple times during the day to fit your schedule. Each class has approximately 8-10 people. Each patient has an individual exercise prescription designed by an exercise specialist. The prescription is based on the patient's personal goals and the patient's own level of fitness. During each exercise session, the patient wears a heart monitor that provides continuous electrocardiographic monitoring. Classes consist of a warm up/stretch, cardiovascular exercise, and a cool-down period. The length of the program varies from six to twelve weeks, depending on the needs of the patient. What will I need to bring to my first appointment? Be sure to bring your current medical insurance card, driver's license, and the referral for therapy from your physician if it was given to you.
