Interventional Pain Treatment Center

St. Vincent's Interventional Pain Treatment Center assists patients with the treatment of acute and chronic pain. The center uses a variety of procedures to treat pain and provide patients with relief. Treatments may help patients decrease the frequency and intensity of the pain, decrease the dependency on narcotics, increase motor function, resolve sleeping disturbances, and improve their overall quality of life.

  • Our Location
    St. Vincent's Interventional Pain Treatment Center is located on 3 East in the hospital campus. Check-in and waiting rooms are available in the surgery waiting room on the third floor of the hospital. The unit is open Monday-Friday from 6:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. For a printable campus map, click here.

    Online Pre-Registration
    To help cut down on time and paperwork of registration, forms can be completed electronically on the Internet from our web site. Online Preregistration forms are found in My St. Vincent's. From there, you will be able to safely and securely enter the information needed to register you for your procedure. Please keep the reference number given at the end of your pre-admission and bring it with you to your procedure.

    On the Day of Your Procedure
    Please note that your arrival time is approximately two hours prior to your scheduled procedure time. All patients are scheduled on a "To-Follow" basis to allow for fluctuations in actual procedure time. Your procedure will be performed upon completion of those scheduled ahead of you. Please let us know if you feel that your wait has been excessive. Expect to spend three hours in the unit from the time that you are admitted to the time you are discharged.

    Parking
    Valet parking is available at the main entrance of the hospital.

    Financial Arrangements
    If you do not have insurance, please contact the Business Office prior to your admission at (205) 838-3910 and ask for a financial counselor. Call between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Based on your insurance coverage, you may be asked to pay your deductible or co-pay at the time of registration. Payment can be made using cash, check or credit card.
