I am going to St. Vincent's for...
Mammotome®
In preparation for your Mammotome®, we ask that you:
- Not use any deodorants or powders on your underarms or breasts
- Wear a blouse, t-shirt or sweater with a skirt or pants. Do not wear a dress or jumpsuit. You will be asked to undress from the waist up.
- Notify your referring physician at least one week prior to your appointment if you are taking anticoagulant (coumadin, aspirin, or other blood thinner) medication. The dose may have to be adjusted.
- Take medication as instructed by your physician.
- You may eat a light breakfast such as juice, coffee and toast.
- You should check in at the Patient Registration desk in St. Vincent’s main lobby. You may wish to bring a relative or friend with you to drive you home after the biopsy.

Where to go
Check in at the North Tower Imaging Center registration desk located in Suite 400 of the North Tower.
Parking
Patients and visitors to the North Tower should park in the North Tower Parking Deck. (Directions, maps, and parking)
Financial Arrangements
If you do not have insurance, please contact the Business Office prior to your admission at (205) 838-3910 and ask for a financial counselor. Call between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Based on your insurance coverage, you may be asked to pay your deductible or co-pay at the time of registration. Payment can be made using cash, check or credit card.
