I am going to St. Vincent's for...
What to do before you get there
When the time to have your baby approaches, your doctor will give you a special phone number that you should call when experiencing contractions or possible complications with their pregnancy. This phone number will get you in touch with your doctor or a nurse that can get information from you and then give you instruction on what to do next. During the call, your physician may direct you to go to the hospital or give you other instructions. This phone call will keep your physician informed on what is going on with you and the baby. This call will also help get your doctor on the way to the hospital, too! Mothers who have filled out the hospital's pre-admission forms will find they have saved precious minutes upon arrival. Don't forget the suitcase!
Online Pre-Registration
To help cut down on time and paperwork of registration, registration forms can be filled out electronically on the Internet from our web site. Online Pre-Registration forms are found in My St. Vincent's . From there, you will be able to safely and securely enter the information needed to register you for your procedure. Please keep the reference number given at the end of your pre-admission and bring it with you to the hospital.
Where to go
Our birth suites are located on the second and third floor of our Women's and Children's Center. From University Boulevard turn onto St. Vincent's Drive. Take the second right at the Woman's and Children's Center sign. Just after you pass under the covered concourse bridge, enter the parking deck entrance on your right. Once you enter the parking deck, you will see the lobby doors to the Women's and Children's Center to your right. If you are in labor, your driver may park in the temporary parking spaces close to the Center's doors. If you enter the building from another floor, take the elevators to Level One of the Women's and Children's center.
