The Endoscopy/GI Lab at St. Vincent’s Blount includes two state-of-the art endoscopy suites with flexible video endoscopes. The physicians, along with our team of anesthesia and support staff, perform endocopy and colonoscopy procedures.
Your physician should schedule your procedure with the GI Lab.
You should arrive for your procedure one hour prior to your scheduled procedure time.
You should take all prescription drugs as scheduled the day before your procedure. If you are on heart, blood pressure, diabetic, seizure or blood-thinning medications, you should take these as instructed by your physician with a sip of water.
Do not eat or drink anything, not even water, for four to six hours before your test. Specific instructions for eating, drinking, and any additional prep instructions for your test should be given to you by your physician prior to your procedure.
You should arrive at the hospital one hour before your scheduled procedure time. Check-in is at the Patient Registration desk in St. Vincent’s Blount Outpatient Clinic. After registration, you will be directed to the GI Lab.
Parking is available for patients and visitors in front of the hospital and below the Outpatient Clinic.
If you do not have insurance, please contact the Business Office prior to your admission at (800) 347-9323 and ask for a financial counselor. Call between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Based on your insurance coverage, you may be asked to pay your deductible or co-pay at the time of registration. Payment can be made using cash, check or credit card.
