East
St. Vincent’s East (SVE), formerly Medical Center East, is one of five facilities that make up the St. Vincent’s Health System. Part of Ascension Health, the largest non-profit and Catholic-owned health organization in the country, SVE provides a special brand of high-touch, high-tech quality care to people throughout the Eastern Birmingham communities. Its cancer and cardiovascular programs have received national recognition. In 2003, it was the only hospital in Alabama to receive the “Excellence in Healthcare Quality” award for Acute Myocardial Infarction from the Alabama Quality Assurance Foundation.
Directions
From I-459 East (towards Gadsden)
Take Exit 32. Go straight through the US Hwy 11 intersection onto Edwards Lake Road. At the third traffic light, turn left onto Medical Park East Drive. Go pass the Emergency entrance to the next entrance. This is the main entrance to the hospital.
From I-59 East (towards Gadsden)
Take Exit 134. Turn left at the bottom of the interstate ramp. At the traffic light, turn right onto US Hwy 11. Go to the second traffic light and turn left onto Medical Park East Drive. The main hospital entrance will be on your left.
