Bosom Buddies is a monthly breast cancer support group that meets to give women the opportunity to talk with others who have been through similar experiences. The group is usually comprised of 15-20 women, some recently diagnosed and others who are long-term survivors of breast cancer.

The Between Women shop located in the St. Vincent's East Cancer Treatment Center provides innovative breast care products of the highest quality and design for all post-breast surgery needs. Women receive individualized consultations and private fittings performed by a trained mastectomy fitter.
Post-surgical camisoles with drainage management systems to be used immediately following breast surgery
Intimate apparel and swim wear in a variety of colors, sizes, and fashions
Leisure forms for transitional use
Silicone prostheses for permanent use
Partial breast shapers for use after breast conserving surgery (lumpectomy)
Reach to Recovery is an American Cancer Society volunteer visitation program that helps breast cancer survivors meet the emotional, physical, and cosmetic needs related to breast cancer. Call 838-3519 for a referral to the Reach to Recovery program.
This program is for any woman undergoing cancer treatment. A certified professional teaches women how to cope with the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment, which may include hair loss and changes in complexion. Free make-up kits valued at $300 are provided.

Camp Bluebird is not an ordinary camp. It has a special purpose and a unique mission. The campers are all adult cancer survivors. Campers can relax by viewing the natural beauty of the outdoors, participating in arts and crafts groups and enjoying a variety of other recreational activities. Camp Bluebird offers time for listening and learning and is designed to help reduce the isolation felt by many cancer patients. It is a time for being with friends and a time for caring and sharing. The 3-day, 2-night camp is held twice each year and is free of charge to the campers. To apply please call 838-3519 for more information.
