Diagnostic Imaging The Imaging Services Department provides patient care through five imaging modalities including: Diagnostic X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI, CT, and Nuclear Medicine. The Radiology procedures for all modalities are performed on outpatients and inpatients of any age.
The department is staffed with Board Certified Radiologists and Technologists who have received the required training and achieved competency in each of the imaging modalities. All Technologists are certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board. Support personnel in clerical and patient transport complete the departmental staff.

The ACR, headquartered in Reston, Va., awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice. Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians who are experts in the field. They assess the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of the facility equipment. The surveyors report their findings to the American College of Radiology's Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report.
The ACR is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnostic and interventional radiologists, radiation oncologist, and nuclear medicine and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
