You may be eligible for financial assistance under the terms and conditions the hospital offers qualified patients. At St. Vincent’s Health System, we recognize that some of our patients may not have health insurance or may not be able to pay unexpected medical bills. However, all people still need and deserve quality healthcare. As a faith-based organization, we make provisions to offer financial assistance to our patients in need and do this because we believe every person should get the care they need, regardless of their ability to pay. Patient financial assistance at the facilities of St. Vincent’s Health System is based on income level and household size. In order to qualify for financial assistance, we ask that you provide proof of gross income. This may be in the form of your last three paycheck stubs, your last tax return, and/or other records documenting your year-to-date income. We also need to know the number of people in your household. It does not apply to any hospital-based physicians such as anesthesiologists, pathologists, radiologists, emergency room physicians or discounted clinic co-pays.
