St. Vincent’s Foundation
Celebrating 35 Years of Faithful Giving

Your Generosity Heals

St. Vincent’s Foundation raises funds to support new programs, education, equipment, technology, and capital expansion across St. Vincent’s Health System. We also address the special needs of patients and family members who trust their health care to St. Vincent’s.

As a donor, you have the opportunity to express appreciation for the care you have received and to extend care to those less fortunate. Through the generosity of donors to St. Vincent’s Foundation, the health system is able to offer comfort where it is needed most.

Do Something Good for Yourself and St. Vincent’s

Dr. Walter McCoy spent his career at St. Vincent's Birmingham, caring for patients as an internal medicine physician. Prior to Dr. McCoy's death (March 31, 2013, Easter Sunday), he and his wife D'Anne purchased several Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) contracts to benefit St. Vincent's Health System through the St. Vincent's Foundation. "It's so important to give something back to sustain the work that Walter loved throughout his life," Mrs. McCoy commented. "St. Vincent's has always been a central part of our lives, from patients and their families to the clinical and medical staff. We want this special way of caring to endure."

Through their gifts, the McCoys arranged a retirement resource while also planning a meaningful gift to support St. Vincent’s beyond their lives. To recognize their generosity, Dr. and Mrs. McCoy have been perpetually enrolled in the St. Vincent's Visionary Society and are remembered in our daily prayers in gratitude to our benefactors.

Contact the Foundation at 205.838.6151 to receive a CGA illustration and how you can make a meaningful gift to support St. Vincent’s and also receive a retirement gift through a CGA contract.
