St. Vincent’s Birmingham Auxiliary

St. Vincent's Birmingham Auxiliary was formed in 1963. Since then, many dedicated volunteers have given thousands of hours of service to the hospital and its patients.

Auxiliary volunteers donate their time and energy in an effort to make a patient's stay as comfortable as possible. They perform duties that lighten the load of our staff, services for patient comfort, and raise money to buy equipment and facilities for the hospital. St. Vincent's volunteers are highly recognizable with women volunteers in their familiar pink uniform and the men in their white jackets with the red and white insignia.

St. Vincent's East Auxiliary
Volunteer Services

Since its beginning, the St. Vincent's East Auxiliary and its predecessors have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars and given immeasurable hours to benefit healthcare within the eastern Jefferson County community. Immeasurable resources of time and money have been provided to the hospital for equipment and services.

The St. Vincent's East Auxiliary operates with a volunteer working Board of Directors who serve on committees and are responsible for directing its activities. Membership of the auxiliary currently numbers just over 100.

The auxiliary’s primary purpose is to assist the hospital by providing funding for equipment, educational services and patient comfort programs. Funds are raised through the Auxiliary's gift shop, flower shop, bake and craft sales and other special events.
